It's important to make sure you’ve got the correct size for a particular watch strap before ordering a buckle. Some straps are tapered so this is not always the same as the strap width. Using a metric ruler, simply measure the distance, in millimeters, of the width of the strap where it attaches to the buckle. That width is your buckle size.

To install the buckle, use a pin or a spring bar tool to release the spring bar through the holes on the sides. Slot the spring bar into your strap and pop it back into the holes on the buckle.
